Reconciliation / First Holy Communion Prep
2nd Grade
Preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion begin in 2nd grade. First Reconciliation is usually held in November. First Communion is usually held the first Sunday in May.
In addition to classes, the child and parent(s) are also required to attend the Dragon Slayers retreat hosted at St. Joseph Church in October.

Confirmation Prep
7th & 8th Grade
Confirmation Prep traditionally takes place during the student’s 8th-grade year. In our Religious Ed program, and in our school, it begins in the 7th-grade year.
A required retreat takes place in September at Camp Damascus for 8th graders.
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated this year on Saturday, October 10th.
Please fill out the registration form at the beginning of the child’s 8th-grade school year to register your child for the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation.

OCIC (Order of Christian Initiation for Children)
Ages 7+
Children of our parish who are ages 7+ and not yet baptized or are baptized in another religious denomination but would like to become Catholic are invited to attend OCIC classes, which are taught alongside parents. Classes are offered twice a week to fit family schedules beginning November 1, 2026.
The Reception of the Sacraments, at which children will receive all Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and First Holy Eucharist), will be held on March 18, 2027.
Please fill out the Registration form and complete and email the Godparent/Sponsor Eligibility Form to Angie Ash to get started.
