Becoming Catholic (OCIA)
Formerly called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), OCIA is the formation process for adults who desire to follow Jesus Christ and become members of His Catholic Church.
Are you an adult thinking about becoming a Catholic Christian and desire to receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Holy Communion, and Confirmation)?
Do you want to follow Jesus Christ for the rest of your life?
This is the first step in a lifelong journey of discipleship! This is the Catholic Church’s process to bring people, through study, spiritual growth, and community, into the heart of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Who is OCIA for? Adults (18 years or older) who are:
- Seeking Baptism for the first time
- A baptized non-Catholic Christian desiring to become Catholic
- A baptized Catholic adult in need of First Communion and/or Confirmation
- Catholics who desire to grow deeper in their faith

Registration does not commit you to becoming Catholic.
- Registering helps us stay in touch with you about classes and other important updates.
- If you do commit to Catholicism, registration allows us to gather any required documentation and avoid any delays.
