Leading Students to Jesus Through Sports

Welcome to SJM and CYO Sports!

CYO is the parish and school sports organization run by the Diocese of Toledo. Our sports programs are run through the parish, not the school. We expect good sportsmanship, positive cheering only, and we pray before and after every practice. We also encourage our teams to attend Mass together. There will be an all-sports Mass before each season.

Sports opportunities are available for students in grades K-12.

Eligibility: A player's family must be a registered member of the parish or a current SJM student who is active in the life of the parish.

POLICIES & PROCEDURES

GAME SCHEDULES

Below are the sports opportunities provided. All sport seasons are contingent upon reaching the required number of participants. Practice dates and times for each sport are determined by each coach's availability. All of our coaches are volunteers. We are always looking for more coaches to help make these wonderful experiences for our athletes! Equipment requirements vary for each sport. We provide most of the basic equipment, thanks to our Athletic and Scouting Board (ASB). We have some of the lowest player fees across the diocese, also thanks to our ASB. The fee you pay for your child helps cover the CYO team fee and the cost to use final forms. Coaches will let you know what, if any, equipment your child needs beyond what is provided.

CYO Forms

Your child will also need a current CYO Player parent contract, linked below, which is different than the school physical form. This form gives your child medical clearance to play sports and must be signed by a parent.

Once you have the completed form, please upload it to your child's Final Forms account by clicking on the file folder to the right of your child's name. You can scan the file or take a picture of it with your phone, and Monyca will manually review the form and update the physical date in Final Forms.
