You can view your personal schedule, the complete schedule, rosters, and make changes to your individual profile by using the Ministry Scheduler Pro (MSP) Web terminal:

If you do not know your user name or password, contact Jeff Wisniewski at jeff.wisniewski@stjosephmaumee.org
The schedule is created and sent out via e-mail quarterly: Winter (Dec.-Feb.) Spring (Mar.-May) Summer (Jun.-Aug.) and Fall (Sept.-Nov.). Paper copies of the schedule are mailed out to those who do not have internet access. Only the regular weekend Masses are scheduled automatically. Ministers may a volunteer for unfilled positions for the various Holy Day Masses via the web terminal with the exception of Christmas and Easter. Paper-signup sheets for Christmas and Easter are placed in the back of church several weeks in advance.
Lectors
Proclaim the Word of God during the Liturgy. They should possess a good public speaking voice and be committed to praying the Word of God and preparing for their ministry. Lectors are trained and scheduled by the director of music and liturgy.
Extra-ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
EMs have two distinct functions. 1) They assist the priest and deacon in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ to the faithful at Mass, and 2) They take the Eucharist to the infirmed and homebound. Some elect to do one or the other or both. EMs must be trained by a priest or deacon and all EMs must be formally re-commissioned every two years. EMs for our weekend Masses are scheduled by Jeff Wisniewski. EMs who take the Eucharist to the area hospitals, nursing homes and homebound are coordinated by Deacon Bob Pluciniak. If you, or someone you know, are unable to attend Mass and would like the Blessed Sacrament brought to you, please call the parish office.
Sacristy Coordinators
Sacristy Coordinators are Extra-ordinary ministers who arrive early before Mass and prepare the vessels—portioning out the bread and wine, etc. They also ensure that there are a sufficient number of distributers for the Mass as well as wash and put away the purified vessels after Mass.
Altar Servers
Altar servers assist the priest in the sanctuary during the Mass and carry the processional cross and candles in the entrance procession as well as the incense when used. They should arrive early to assist the priest in setting up for Mass, lighting the candles and vesting. Typically altar servers are trained in the 5th grade and then continue to serve through at least 8th grade while others choose to continue through high school. We also have some adult altar servers who assist at daily Mass and funerals when student servers are not available. Servers are trained by the associate Pastor.
The following ministries are not formally scheduled, but nonetheless serve a crucial role. Please call the parish office if you are interested in any of the following opportunities:
Ushers/Greeters
Ushers and Greeters welcome people as they enter the church, assist in finding available seating, direct visitors to the restrooms, take up the offertory collection, pass out the bulletins after Mass and help to straighten up the missalettes and hymnals.
Art & Environment
The Art & Environment ministry is in charge of decorating the church for the various liturgical seasons (weekly floral arrangements are provided by the Rosary Altar Society). The core team designs, procures and fabricates the seasonal decorations. Additional volunteers are also needed for the actual set up and tear down process.
