Are you looking for a competitive sports program for your young athlete? Have you ever considered the St. Joseph CYO sports program? CYO programs are open to all parishioners at St. Joseph Parish. One does not have to attend the school to participate! We offer competitive programs for kindergarten through high school students in a family-friendly Christian environment. From cross country and volleyball to track, basketball and football, we have it all! Last year, more than 400 students participated in our CYO program. Athletes from St. Joe’s school, Maumee, Anthony Wayne, Perrysburg, Otsego and Toledo schools all participate.

Fall Sports
Cross Country continues to grow every year, with more than 90 runners participating last year. This sport is open to all students from kindergarten through eighth grade. Practices start the beginning of August. Meets are held on Saturday mornings in September. Approximately 1,300 runners from northwest Ohio participate in eight races at each meet! Everyone practices at the same time, making this program very convenient. Many of our runners have gone on to star in their high school cross country programs.

Volleyball is open to all girls from fifth grade through high school. While fifth and sixth grade leagues are designed to teach the players the fundamentals and skills for volleyball, players can join a team at any age. Practices start in early August, with matches scheduled on the weekends in September and October. CYO volleyball provides girls a unique opportunity to play a competitive team sport.

Football programs are run jointly with St. Joan of Arc. Boys from fifth through eighth grades are eligible to participate. Practices start in early August, with games scheduled on the weekends in September and October. There is also growing interest in soccer at St. Joe’s, and it looks like we will have a few teams this fall!

How To Participate
Participation in CYO sports at St. Joseph Parish is open to all registered families. The cost is minimal, as the Boosters provide financial support to the CYO programs. Watch the bulletin for sign-ups or call:
