Ms. Daunhauer's Biography

Ms. Daunhauer grew up in Michigan and Wisconsin before moving to Ohio.  She attended Notre Dame Academy for high school.  She was involved in; Latin Club, Varsity Softball, Show Choir, and Spirit Club/Secret Eagle.  She attended The University of Toledo for her under-graduate work and then went to Bowling Green State University for her graduate degree and post-graduate work.  During her college years, Ms. Daunhauer was a coach for NDA’s summer softball team and worked for a family member who owned a coffee and wine shop.  She spent all college vacations traveling to various places to watch the Atlanta Braves play.

Before working in the schools for Lucas County Educational Service Center, Ms. Daunhauer worked as a mental health professional working with adolescents and adults in an in-patient psychiatric setting.  Ms. Daunhauer serves as a member of The American School Counseling Association and The American Counseling Association.  She used to also be the school counselor at St. Jerome Elementary, but now she works only at St. Joseph.  Ms. Daunhauer lives in Michigan with her husband and two children.

Ms. Daunhauer loves working with the students here at St. Joe’s!  All of her duties are her favorites…well except maybe paperwork and up-dating student files.  She especially enjoys working on Peer Mediation and Red Ribbon Week!  She looks forward to going into classrooms for discussions and presentations too!  If Ms. Daunhauer was not a school counselor, she would love to be a therapist for professional athletes.
