Mrs. Gstalder's Biography Mrs. Karen Gstalder grew up in Waterville, Ohio and attended Anthony Wayne High School. She originally attended Owens Community College and then continued her education at The University of Toledo. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently taking classes in Early Childhood Education to continue her education. Mrs. Gstalder has worked for the past 25 years in the Early Childhood field, but the last two years has been spent at St. Joe’s in the Preschool program. She enjoys working with the Preschool class. “The children are eager to learn and are so excited to be in ‘school.’” She feels that her job as a teacher is to keep the children excited about learning! Mrs. Gstalder is married to Patrick Gstalder, a Central Catholic graduate, for 21 years. She and her husband have three children: Laurie, 20 years old, is in the Nursing program at Owens Community College, Ellen, 14 years old, will attend Central Catholic as a freshman in August 2006, and Michael, 10 years old, is a current St. Joe’s student.
