Mrs. Noble's Biography Mrs. Noble family moved from Toledo to Van Wert, Ohio in 1974 because her dad was hired to be the principal of a new vocational school, Vantage, which was being built. She grew up in Van Wert and graduated from Van Wert High School in 1984. While in high school, she participated in the marching band as a flag corps captain. Band was a big deal at VWHS and some of her best memories of high school are those that happened with the band. After high school, Mrs. Noble worked at a bank until 1987 when she moved back to Toledo to attend The University of Toledo. She graduated from UT in 1991, subbed for Sylvania City Schools, and then taught high school for eight years. She quit when she was pregnant for Alexandra. Mrs. Noble thought she wanted to be a stay-at-home mom…NO WAY, she was not cut out for that! Alex and her stayed in our jammies and played all day. It was fun, but not productive. She was hired as a sub at St. Joe’s in the fall of 2001. It was great to be back in the classroom again—even as a sub—after a year of not teaching. In February of 2002, Mrs. Noble began subbing for a teacher on maternity leave. The teacher decided not to come back, so she finished the year with fourth graders. It was fun, but quite different than her 7th -12th grade background. She was then hired fulltime to teach sixth graders. After one year in this position, she became the Language Arts teacher for our Middle School students in grades 6-8. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Toledo. She is licensed to teach English and journalism to grades 7-12. She also holds a non-tax certificate which allows her to work with the sixth graders. She loves teaching at a parochial school because she can bring God into her lessons. She loves teaching at St. Joe’s because of the family atmosphere here and the great kids who attend this school. Mrs. Noble is married to Jeff and the mom of two kids: Alexandra who attends kindergarten at St. Joe’s and Matthew who is 2 ½. Mrs. Noble's Favorites
